Dictation without AI rewriting. Your exact words.
When the wording matters, switch to Raw: what you say is typed as you said it — no cleanup, no paraphrase.

Pithflow is a Windows dictation app with a mode that skips AI rewriting. In Raw, it types your words exactly as spoken — only punctuation, spoken commands like "new line", and numbers are handled. Tap Ctrl twice to switch to Raw, and twice more to get back to cleaned-up writing.
"okay so um I want you to look at the login page and like see why it's slow I don't know maybe it's the database and also can you uh can you add a dark mode to the settings and yeah also check why the login page is slow on mobile too"
Okay, so I want you to look at the login page and see why it's slow. I don't know, maybe it's the database. Also, can you add a dark mode to the settings? And also check why the login page is slow on mobile too.
Cleaned up, your wording kept
I want you to do two things: 1. Find out why the login page is slow, including on mobile. Maybe it's the database. 2. Add a dark mode to the settings.
A clean prompt for any AI — never answered

Every word as spoken, no AI rewrite
In the app: tap Ctrl twice, or right-click the bar.
AI cleanup is the right default for an email or a chat message. But some text must not be reworded, even helpfully: a quote from an interview, the exact terms of an agreement, a clinical note in the words you chose, a line of a script. A cleanup that turns "we may consider it" into "we will consider it" has changed the meaning. Raw takes that risk off the table.
Every word stays, in your order. No synonyms, no smoothing.
Repeats and false starts stay — useful when exact phrasing matters.
"new line", "period", "open quote" still become formatting.
"two hundred dollars" → $200, emails and URLs written properly.
The spoken commands are the same in every mode: new line, new paragraph, period, comma, question mark, open quote / close quote, open paren / close paren and dash — and in Spanish punto y aparte, nueva línea, coma, signo de interrogación and the rest.
Here's the honest version. Turning speech into text needs a speech recognition model, and Pithflow's runs in the cloud: your audio is sent to our servers to be transcribed, and isn't stored. What Raw removes is the second AI step — the one that edits your sentences. So "without AI" means without AI rewriting: the recognizer hears you, nothing paraphrases you.

Windows voice typing is free and also literal; per Microsoft it uses online speech recognition. Where Pithflow differs is that Raw is one of three modes — the cleaned-up version is a double tap away.
Yes. Pithflow's Raw mode turns off the AI rewrite entirely: what you say is typed as you said it, with only punctuation, spoken commands and numbers handled. Tap Ctrl twice in the Windows app to switch to it, and twice more to go back to cleaned-up dictation.
Turning speech into text always uses a speech recognition model, and Pithflow's runs in the cloud, so your audio is sent to our servers. What Raw skips is the second step — the AI cleanup that removes filler, fixes grammar and reorganizes your sentences. Nothing rewrites your words.
Close. Raw removes nothing and rewrites nothing. One honest caveat: the speech recognizer itself doesn't always transcribe every "um" or "uh", so a filler sound can be missing even though Raw didn't remove it.
Yes. Spoken commands work in every mode: new line, new paragraph, period, comma, question mark, open and close quote, parentheses and dash, plus the Spanish equivalents like "punto y aparte". Numbers, emails and web addresses are still written the way they're normally typed.
No. Every Pithflow mode needs an internet connection, because speech recognition runs on our servers. If you need dictation with no connection at all, Windows 11's Voice Access recognizes on-device.
