Yes, from version 1.34. The Meetings tab records a meeting from your Windows 10 or 11 PC — In person uses your microphone; Video call also captures what your computer is playing, which on a Zoom, Teams or Meet call is everyone else. Nothing joins the call. When you stop, you get a summary, the key points ranked by how many times each came up, the decisions and the action items, with the transcript one click away. Download the installer from the Download page (digitally signed). Run it. Sign in with Google or Microsoft, or with email. Hold Ctrl + Space, speak, release — text appears wherever you're typing.

Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), and macOS 12 or later. The Mac app arrived in September 2026; it is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens without a security warning. An Android keyboard is in development; iOS and Linux are not committed.

Yes. Any built-in laptop mic works for casual use. For best accuracy, a USB or wireless headset mic helps in noisy environments.

Yes. In the desktop app, Account → Manage subscription opens Stripe Customer Portal where you can swap plans. Your prorated balance is applied automatically.

No. Every plan is priced in US dollars, everywhere: Pro is $9.99/month or $99/year, and Team is $45/month for 5 seats. If your card is issued in another currency, your bank converts at its own rate.

Yes — by default. Pithflow detects the language at the start of each dictation. You can also pin a specific language in Settings → Languages if you only ever dictate in one.

Spanish and English can be mixed in one sentence, and Pithflow detects the language automatically on each dictation. For other languages, dictate one language at a time.

Add it to your Personal Dictionary (the Dictionary tab). Pithflow will correct that exact word in every future dictation. Good for proper nouns, brand names, technical jargon.

Your audio is sent to our cloud transcription pipeline once you release the key, transcribed there, and discarded as soon as the cleaned text comes back. Cleaned text stays on your device unless you switch on history sync, which is off until you do. Meetings you record are the exception — those are saved to your account so you can read them back, and you can delete any of them from the Meetings tab. No. We don't train on your audio or text. Full disclosure in the Privacy Policy.

No. Pithflow is not HIPAA-eligible and does not sign Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), so do not dictate protected health information with it. Its medical term packs are meant for medical writing that carries no patient information, such as research, teaching, and administrative email.

Pithflow needs an internet connection — audio goes to our cloud transcription pipeline. Offline / local-model mode is not currently supported. SuperWhisper is the better choice if offline is a hard requirement.

Yes. Settings → Hotkey. Pick any combination — Ctrl + Space (default), F12 toggle, etc. You can configure separate hotkeys for push-to-talk and hands-free mode.

Hold: hold the key while speaking, release to transcribe. Toggle: tap once to start, tap again to stop. Hold is faster for short utterances; toggle is better for longer dictation when you don't want to keep your finger on a key.

After subscribing to Team: open the Team tab, enter their email under "Invite a member", and click Invite. They receive a link, click to join, automatically become a member. You can see seat usage (1/5, 2/5, etc.) and remove members anytime.

The Team plan is capped at 5. For 6+ seats, contact us about Enterprise pricing — we'll quote based on team size. Pithflow does not sign BAAs on any plan.

Yes. On the Team plan, the team owner's snippets and dictionary are shared with every member of the team.
