Teach Pithflow your terminology, once
Speech recognition is great at general English but mishears proper nouns ('Zamudio' → 'Sumudio'), brand names, and technical jargon. The Personal Dictionary lets you correct these once, forever.

Open the Dictionary tab → Add term. Term: 'Zamudio'. Replacement: 'Zamudio'. (You can also have the term differ — e.g., 'pithflow API' (heard) → 'Pithflow API' (replacement, capitalized).) The replacement runs on the finished text, as the last step before it is delivered.
Surnames Pithflow doesn't know · Brand names: 'Stripe' vs 'stripe' · Codebases with custom identifiers · Medical terminology · Legal citations · Spanglish proper nouns where the transcription guesses the wrong language · Drug names · Cities in your local accent
Every term you add also shapes recognition before the text exists. Your dictionary travels with each dictation as a vocabulary hint, so the transcription expects those words instead of guessing something common; the AI cleanup receives the same list and repairs near-misses it can still recognise; and the whole-word replacement described above is the last backstop, not the whole mechanism. Fix a word, in the History list on Home — spot a miss, type the correction — writes into the same dictionary.
Dictionary runs a whole-word match. Don't try to use it for general spell-check — transcription + the AI cleanup already handle that. Use it for *predictable* misheard items where you know the exact correction every time.
Same as snippets — the dictionary syncs to all your Windows devices on every plan. Free holds up to 25 terms; Pro and Team are unlimited. Team plan adds team-shared entries for company-specific terminology.

Packs are curated lists for a whole field — medical, legal, software, finance and more, in English and Spanish — that you switch on with one toggle. The dictionary is yours: surnames, product names, codenames, the words only your work uses. Both feed the same recognition, and your own terms take priority.

Yes. In the History list on Home, click Fix a word on that entry and type the correction; the pair is saved to your dictionary so the next dictation gets it right.
Yes. Terms are plain text and apply in whatever language you are dictating, which is what makes it useful for the Spanglish proper nouns the transcription keeps guessing wrong.
